Food

Nidulari is committed to wholesome, handmade food from our homestead kitchen on St Croix. We use local ingredients whenever they fit the recipe, and we avoid preservatives, high-fructose corn syrup, and artificial colours. Many of our products are vegetarian or vegan. Our produce is organically or naturally grown. Hours and locations change with the season, so check our Facebook page before you drive.

Where and when to catch us

Rainforest trailer (Little La Grange): Summer weekends have often run 11am to 3pm from June through August on Mahogany Road, with a typical pause from mid-August through November for storms and maintenance. See our Home post for the usual seasonal pattern and confirm open dates on Facebook.

Fort Frederik Beach truck: When the grill truck is out, posted hours have often been Thursday and Friday, 11am to 4pm. Menus list kabobs, sides, and drinks for that week.

For driving directions and landmarks near Mahogany Road, see Our Island.

Midweek bread and pastries: Extra bake days, including Wednesday pickups, happen when demand and weather allow. Message us through Contact or Facebook if you need bread on a specific weekday.

What we make

Sourdough and enriched breads, laminated pastries, sweets, and savoury lunch plates rotate through the counter. Long-running favourites include fusion plates such as chicken tikka masala and Sunday-style biscuits with gravy. We label vegan and gluten-free items when they are on the board so guests can choose confidently. When the beach truck is running, the menu leans toward grilled kabobs and portable sides instead of the full bakery case.

Fruit from our trees and beds lands in jams, fillings, and garnishes when harvest lines up with service days. Pantry choices skew toward whole spices and natural colour rather than neon dyes or shelf-stable glaze mixes. If you need an allergy check, ask at the window and staff can point to what is safe that day.

Catering: We do not run full-service catering. Bulk quantities of some breads or pastries may be available with advance notice. Email or stop by during open hours, or use Contact, and we will tell you what the oven can handle that week.

    1. We are located 1.3 miles up Mahogany road in Little La Grange, in the two-story stone building on the left side, shortly after the Lawaetz Museum.
